When in Texas, you gotta go BIG!
Schlitterbaun is home to the world’s longest waterslide, filled with family-friendly rides and activities! It also just happened to be located two block away from the White House project! (what a LIFESAVER!!!) We spent several hours here escaping the Texas heat and cooling off after long, hard days of work. The expansive setting is right next to the serene Comal River with mature trees and lush landscaping. The park is split into two large sections, the first one, which is the original water park which opened in 1979 only uses water straight from the Comal River! It’s SO cool!! The second half is newer and hosts the 65 foot Master Blaster which has been named the World’s Best Waterslide 11 times and counting! Our family’s favorite ride was the Dragon’s Revenge which is the world’s first uphill water coaster ride. It was extremely bumpy and you better hang onto your britches if you don’t want them to get blasted off! (My kids LOVED this ride because of the constant blasting and some “scary and exciting” parts) I was NOT a big fan of this ride.. it made me sick! There were also LOADS of lazy river rides which were so fun and relaxing to float as a family! They were perfect for every age group! I can’t say enough about how this place rejuvenated our souls after a hard days work!!! You can check out the video on our YOUTUBE channel here!! Schlitterbaun Video
